It would appear that the site is attempting to re-create the ROBLOX website from 2009. I believe that, yes, all code is PHP, not ASP.NET. However, the site does have a certain piece of software that is taken from Roblox Corporation, and that's their rendering software. So it appears this website does have some code, but most of this code is free anyways, as ROBLOX is a free game.

nounblox is recreated from publicly obtainable frontend and unique backend legally remade

it uses no illegally obtained things

    McStealinYaBucket

    exactly
anyone could legally make something like this, and several people do

i recall seeing roblox's ceo endorse these types of sites (known as revivals) in an ask-me-anything reddit thread

roblox allows these types of sites and many exist to this day

    ss-
yes i do believe they use the rendering software, however, this is publicly available on many services such as archive.org and is not illegally obtained
there are no known instances of roblox corporation taking down a site for using this software

    • ss- replied to this.

there have been instances of people falsely claiming to be from roblox corporation faking dmca requests before (e.g. with rblxdev), but all of these instances were ignored and not acted upon and nothing happened, as roblox themselves did not make these dmca requests

wemz Even if it is obtainable on the Internet Archive, that doesn't mean it's free software.

you make a fair point, however i do believe roblox has never "sold" this
after "revivals" became a thing roblox basically allowed usage of this software

McStealinYaBucket To add onto what I said, the icons used for the for show builders club icon, is made up of stock images from an asset library, which also falls under fair use and is not made by ROBLOX, along with many other assets on the website.

wemz Still, it shouldn't be a big deal if the site owners made their own rendering engine. I mean, if they could re-create an entire ASP.NET website in PHP, they should be able to make their own rendering engine easily. It shouldn't be hard to stop using the 1 thing still holding them back.

please do not lock this thread, as i've seen instances of you doing such before
we are providing solid evidence that the site in question did not use any illegally obtained materials nor was it harmful in any way

i really hope you understand this time

            ss-
i do assume that its for accuracy
why would they risk making an inaccurate rendering system for their site when one already exists which is not illegal to use

            • ss- replied to this.

wemz Because that one is still used today (in newer versions) by the company their site is based on?

              • wemz replied to this.

wemz Most of the assets that we use from ROBLOX are not being used anymore and haven't been for years. Most of the items we plan to add on our catalog from ROBLOX are offsale on their site, meaning they don't care about them anymore.

                  exactly

serv00 admin, we are very sure that roblox corporation does not disallow such recreations of their old website

                  ss-
you make a good point, however, the new one is not leaked, and is in use by them
whereas the old one is publicly available and does not represent roblox corporation's modern works

                  ss-
i'd also like to add that it takes times to make such remakes
                  you must be really dedicated

this is one of many reasons i do not agree with this hosting platform's decision to block the site
it breaks no rules that i am aware of and any potential confusion has been cleared up already in this thread

I looked inside the ROBLOX Terms Of Service and Privacy Policy and it says nothing about banning things that use ROBLOX assets under fair use.
