New protection against web attacks
We have provided the possibility of additional protection against attacks on websites based on blacklists. From now on, you can easily block access to a selected domain from IP addresses marked as used to carry out attacks.
Four levels of security are available:
- Level 0: protection disabled;
- Level 1: IP addresses are on multiple lists - addresses are confirmed as unsafe;
- Level 2: IP addresses are on fewer lists - this level may cause problems with accessing the site from an ISP with a bad reputation;
- Level 3: block access to entire classes of ISPs with a bad reputation or entire geographic areas - this level provides the best protection but can cause problems with access to the site.
Level 1 is the default value for all pages. Changing option is available from the DevilWEB panel:
WWW Websites ➡ Details ➡ Blacklist ➡ select the protection level and save the changes with the Save changes button.
or after logging into SSH:
devil www options <DOMAIN> blacklist <LEVEL>
Where:
DOMAIN means WWW domain
LEVEL means protection of access to the website with the selected blacklist, accepted values: 0, 1, 2, 3.
The lists are updated once a day.
