I resently had a site malware issue an removed the sockets cleaning house now with everything stored an redis.sock made when i try run redis-server redis.conf in terminal i see that ps aux shows nothing new was started without any errors. Any idea what may have cause this before i troubleshoot.

Hello,
If there is a sock file then delete it first. Check what messages and logs you have related to Redis.

Yeah as troubleshooting nothing new to me , just checking with you if after removing a active redis socket issues may arise afterwards. As redis log now states # Opening Unix Socket : bind : No such file or directory. But the directory exist. Wondering if something is server-side cached an making this issue after thing were removed and replaced. Oh been working on a new project few month now its stable an will share it with you before the community here for your personal opinion on it.

Found the issue, i always made the redis.sock extension as a folder which worked flawlessly tell now. So i switch from folder to file an connected instantly. So does this sound right can socket use both file or folder by default?

If you have any doubts about the operation, check the official Redis documentation. It's also not a problem with the operation of our server.

Cool yeah its seems to state ok as the file was auto converted to folder when created an works as expected. Another small question does this file run on your server or not . Before its labeled as malware : /admin/jquery-file-upload/server/php/ .
I'm searching thru logs of server request an redis cache for hidden system exploits. That may have gain some access through /wp-content/uploads before being locked down by me.
