For many weeks, I've been trying to create an account on your website, but without success because registration is closed. Every Monday morning I visit the site hoping that account registration has opened again.
I'd like to suggest an alternative: allow people to register by paying a small one-time fee. For just a few dollars, users could create an account, while everything else would remain the same. This way, anyone who really wants to join could do so, and it would also provide at least a small source of support for you and your service.
As you can see from the forum, there is no shortage of people who want to join.
