nim and zig

i see that go and rust are installed. I want to run nim and zig. either by compiling elsewhere and executing binary or better install nim and zig. I see the server is running freebsd.

more specific. how do i install / compile nim on the server? how do I install compile zig on the server?
has anyone been successful in building nim and zig for freebsd?

Nim is installed but not available on the default PATH, so you need to add it by:
export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/nim/bin

$ nim --version
Nim Compiler Version 2.0.0 [FreeBSD: amd64]

Zig is not available right now (have some issues with compilation) but it will appear in the future.

newmedia Yes, Nimbe is installed and visible under the "nimble" command (and /usr/local/bin/nimble).

newmedia we have now OpenSSL 3.0, which works fine with nimble, but it still needs a workaround to detect it correctly:

mkdir ~/lib
ln -s /usr/lib/libssl.so ~/lib/libssl.so.3
ln -s /usr/lib/libcrypto.so ~/lib/libcrypto.so.3

$ LD_LIBRARY_PATH=~/lib nimble refresh
Downloading Official package list
    Success Package list downloaded.

Update:

Nimble was updated to 0.16.0 but issues still exist.
Zig 0.12.1 is now available.
