sFTP Login fails

Hi, I created an FTP account from the panel (Home > FTP > + Add Account), the account is created with the below parameters:

Login: s1234_username [here the values of '1234' and 'username' are changed by purpose]
Directory: /usr/home/USER/DIR/
Option to change password and quota

However, I am trying to login from my home network using Linux:
$sftp s1234_username@s0.serv00.com
While asking for the password: I provided the password generated during the account creation. But it never works.

However, it works with the main username/password as provided in the email which opens the home directory.

What I am missing here?

Hello,

FTP account created in the hosting account panel is an FTP account. It is not an SFTP account. Access to SFTP (as well as SSH) is granted using the same credentials that match the login details for the hosting account panel.
